A content creator whose phone was used by Tyreek Hill to film a controversial touchdown celebration claims he has been suspended by the NFL.
The Miami Dolphins wide receiver was penalised by NFL officials after using a phone to capture a back-flip to mark his touchdown in Week 6 against Carolina Panthers.
The video was posted on one of the NFL’s social media accounts and subsequently deleted as it violated the league’s celebration rules.
On Tuesday evening Kevin Fitzgibbons, who claims to have been the owner of the phone used by Hill, shared a video detailing his account of the incident and the subsequent fallout.
The video entitled 'This is how I got my credentials suspended for the rest of the NFL season' has nearly 10 million views on X, formerly Twitter, since it was posted on Tuesday night.
Hill replied to the tweet on Wednesday afternoon.

"I would comment but I could get fined," he wrote in a post that quoted the video.
Fitzgibbons tells his story of the incident using captions overlaid on the video, which is just over a minute long.
They read: "At 20-year-old as a junior in high-school, I started filming videos for our school's basketball team.
"At just 17 years of age I learned the skill of social media networking and was able to create opportunities to work with star players like Tyreek Hill, Saquon Barkley, Antonio Brown and many others.

"I'm a student at the University of Miami and when Tyreek got traded to the Dolphins we instantly reunited and began working together.
"In 2022 I applied for a job with the NFL and they hired me to work at all Miami Dolphins home games.
"I had one of the greatest years of my life working side by side with one of my best friends watching him take over the league.
"In Week 6 of this season, Tyreek scored a touchdown in the exact same corner that I was filming in. He noticed me and surprised me by grabbing my phone and doing a backflip.
"It was the coolest moment ever and I ran in the tunnel to send the clip to the NFL.
"Tyreek got a penalty for the celebration and was immediately asked about it after the game.
"The NFL then let me know that I would be suspended for the rest of the season and possibly for good.
"They said regardless if I knew whether the celebration was coming or not I still had to be disciplined and that I shouldn't have jumped on the sidelines after the play.
"One of the best moments of my life turned upside down in a matter of seconds.
"I get why the NFL had to make this decision and I could have done something to prevent it but I am grateful for the memory Tyreek gave me."
Fitzgibbons has received a tidal wave of support in response to the video.
"This is wrong on so many levels. Fix this NFL!" one fan wrote on Twitter.

Another said: "The NFL is no fun anymore. This is ridiculous. You are everything right with your passion for your job and game. And they suspended you for it. Just an utter embarrassment by the NFL."
