5 Relevant Facts Regarding Jamie Faiths Murder case

During the investigation that followed Jamie Faith’s tragic death in October 2020, it was discovered that his wife and her partner had plotted a sinister murder.

The latter just went to Texas from Tennessee to shoot the man in broad daylight. Jamie’s wife, Jennifer, and her lover, Darrin Lopez, were found accountable for the murder using digital evidence.

Darrin was accused of, among other things, murder and obstructing the justice system. He currently stands on trial after entering a not-guilty plea. Jennifer, in the meantime, admitted to murdering for hire earlier this year and was given a life sentence.

The terrible events surrounding Jamie Smith’s murder will be covered in an episode of ID’s 48 Hours on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET. As a result, this article will clarify a few important elements of the murder investigation before the episode airs.

The case of Jamie Faith’s murder for hire involves five crucial details

1) The attacker’s car was captured on surveillance footage, which helped resolve Jamie Faith’s case.

A “T”-shaped sticker was placed on one of the pickup truck’s rear windows, giving the black Nissan Titan pickup truck that Jamie Faith was shot by away, according to the video footage. One of their neighbors also apparently saw the truck, which was supposedly filmed on the front door security camera.

After gathering digital evidence of Jennifer Faith’s relationship, authorities were able to link the car to Darrin Lopez, an army veteran who lived in Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee. Lopez, the truck’s owner, was identified and the truck was seen parked in front of his house.

2) Jamie Faith was shot numerous times and passed away immediately.

Jamie Faith was shot in the early hours of the morning as he stepped outside with his wife Jennifer and their dog for a stroll. He received seven gunshot wounds in total, including three to the head, three to the chest, and one to the crotch. He was immediately pronounced dead when emergency personnel arrived on the scene.

3) Jennifer tricked Darrin Lopez by using fake email addresses.

Authorities have access to the emails Jennifer is said to have sent to Lopez while posing as her friend and spouse. This demonstrated the intricate plan she came up with to have her husband killed. She claims that Jamie Faith assaulted her both physically and sexually.

These emails were probably sent to incite Lopez to murder Jamie. The boyfriend also suffered a horrible brain injury while serving in Iraq.

4) Jennifer Faith used funds from GoFundMe to buy boyfriend-related items.

According to an investigation into Jamie Faith’s passing, their neighbor helped set up a GoFundMe fundraising effort for Jennifer and her daughter that raised thousands of dollars. The wife’s lavish spending on her admirer, including the purchase of expensive gifts like a TV and even his plane tickets, was later made public.

5) Jamie Faith’s wife attempted to submit insurance claims totaling more than $500,000.

When detectives discovered Jennifer had lavishly showered Lopez with pricey presents using GoFundMe donations, their belief in the fiction of a woman who had just lost her husband was shattered. Jennifer Faith attempted to submit insurance claims totaling $629,000 following Jamie’s passing.
